Racine assists the German group ACO in its acquisition of Limatec

Paris, 29 January 2025 – Racine has assisted the German group ACO, world leader in surface water drainage systems, in its acquisition of the French company Limatec, a specialist in stainless steel drainage systems.
The German ACO Group, the world leader in surface water drainage systems, has an annual turnover of over €1 billion and employs more than 5,000 people worldwide. With decades of experience and 37 production sites, ACO is present in more than 50 countries around the world. The company develops innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to a better future, placing the water cycle at the heart of its activities: collecting, purifying, retaining, storing and reusing water to meet current and future environmental challenges.
Since it was founded in 1978, Limatec has established itself as a recognised expert in stainless steel drainage, with a perfect command of the French market. The family-run company, which now employs 48 people, combines tradition and innovation to offer top-quality products. It has become France’s leading manufacturer of stainless steel drainage systems.
his acquisition represents a strategic step forward for the ACO Group, which is strengthening its position in the French market while expanding its range of products and services designed to meet today’s environmental and technological challenges.
Racine acted with a team comprising Jean-Christophe Beaury (Partner), Alexia Ruleta (Counsel), Ornella Bianchi and Polina Loyko (Associates) on the corporate aspects and Guillaume Thuleau (Partner) and Noa Wolff (Associate) on the social aspects. Emporion GmbH was involved in the financial aspects with a team consisting of Wilco Früh and Jean-Christophe Irigoyen.
On the sellers’ side, Fidal Annecy acted with a team led by Blandine Bochaton-Chamot on the legal aspects and BDO with a team led by Edgard Cohen, Laurent Muller and Florian Agou on the financial aspects.
