Proposed law to strengthen the economic stability and competitiveness of the agri-food sector adopted

On 10 April, the Senate adopted a bill aimed at strengthening the economic stability and competitiveness of the agri-food sector in France. Its main contributions are as follows:

Extension until 15 April 2028 of the provisions of the ASAP Act
Extension of the ban on resale at a loss to private label food products and introduction of a new penalty
A new limit on promotions for ‘DPH’ products
New penalties for retailers who fail to comply with their reporting obligations
