Racine assists Setic Pourtier with Arcole investment
Paris, 31 October 2024 – Racine acted for Setic, a major player in the industrial equipment sector, on the occasion of an investment led by Arcole to accelerate the development of its new entity, Setic Pourtier.
Founded in 1948, Setic is a pioneer in the production of machines for LAN and automotive cables using Triple Twist technology. Pourtier, for its part, has been manufacturing machines for high-voltage cables, including submarine cables, since 1860, with more than 1,500 production lines worldwide. Since their creation, these two companies have developed a strong culture of innovation and have accompanied the various changes in French industry.
Under the name “Setic Pourtier”, the two companies now intend to consolidate their position in the global industrial fabric. With operations in more than 20 countries, this combination will become a leader in industrial equipment for cable manufacturing. Arcole’s investment in the new entity will accelerate its development and make a significant contribution to reducing its debt.
Created in 2022, Arcole is an independent management company authorised by the AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers). Arcole manages funds supporting SMEs and SMIs with significant growth potential and an annual turnover of between €20 million and €250 million. Arcole’s investments focus on supporting development projects in a variety of contexts, including complex transitions, build-ups and underperforming or distressed companies. Its expertise has already enabled the successful transformation and development of 12 French SMEs and ETIs. This investment in Setic Pourtier enables Arcole to support a French industrial company that does most of its business abroad and benefits from a century-old heritage of technical excellence and innovation.
Racine advised Setic Pourtier and its shareholder with a team comprising Antoine Diesbecq, Bruno Laffont and Julie Molinié, alongside MPRD & Partners (Marco Pezzetta).
Arcole was advised by Nicolas Depoix-Robain, Lorraine Montheillet and Amandine Grima and Eight Advisory (Shafik Hosni, Arthur Romelli).
